School is virtual this year but Back to School Night is still very real! Please join us Wednesday, September 23 at 6:00pm at the same link you usually use for Community Breakfast for school wide announcements and a Parent Orientation to OTUS, the system we will be using to organize all instructional materials and assignments for students. Before you attend, click to take a peek at this resource where we have compiled many OTUS family resources in one place. We hope this makes it easier for you to get started.  If you had trouble logging in to Zoom today for class, you are not alone. Beginning 9/17/20, Baltimore City Public Schools tightened security restrictions on Zoom, and students can not log on unless they are signed in with their bcpss.org user name and password.
Here are instructions that we hope will help you do this: Please make sure you are logging in with your student’s district ID. This is the log on that looks like ######@bcpss.org, password: CCPstudent19 1. Go to the Zoom app (if you are using a student laptop you borrowed from our school, the Zoom app is pinned to the bottom of the screen) 2. Select “sign in” at the top 3. Do not enter your user name and password yet! 4. Select “sign in using SSO” on the right hand side 5. When it asks for Company Domain enter: bcps-k12-md-us (note: those are hyphens between each section, not periods) 6. Enter your BCPS log on (#######@bcpss.org, CCPstudent19) Now Zoom is associated with your child! You will only need to do this series of steps one time. Next, select “join meeting” and enter your meeting ID and/or click the meeting link - you will join the meeting Hello! It’s nice that we will all be modeling how to learn something new for our students by getting educated about Distance Learning!
To start off, let’s make sure you have what you need to get started online! Every student has a BCPSS Student ID Login. This login is different for each student, but the password is the same. • Username: (StudentID#)@bcpss.org • Password: CCPstudent19 If you did not receive your child’s ID # logon when you picked upmaterials/devices, you will receive it through direct message on Class Dojo, an automated text message, OR you can call the school office beginning at 8:30 am tomorrow, Tuesday, September 8, 2020. You will need this information to activate the Zoom Account as well as OTUS, our online learning system that is taking the place of Google Classroom this year. However, you will not need it to getinto the FULL SCHOOL COMMUNITY BREAKFAST Tuesday morning at 8:15 am because you will have at the link and sign in information, below: Join Zoom Meeting - Tuesday 9/8 at 8:15am - WHOLE SCHOOL https://bcps-k12-md-us.zoom.us/j/98041543056?pwd=eVJOcWdvVFZYcitQQUdLS3YvZEtXQT09 Meeting ID: 980 4154 3056 Passcode: 653133 SIGNING ONTO A DEVICE BORROWED FROM OUR SCHOOL The directions to sign on to the school-loaned device are located on the green sheet that came with the form. The sign in is (FirstName)@student.creativecityschool.org with a unique password. ACTIVATING ACCOUNTS • To Activate your child’s Zoom Account, access via https://bcps-k12-md-us.zoom.us and use your BCPSS log on if required • To Log into OTUS, the platform we are using instead of GoogleClassroom a. Go to the Clever Portal: https://www.clever.com/in/bcpss b. Click "Log in with Active Directory” c. Sign in using BCPSS Student ID Login d. You will now be in the Clever Portal. If you did not receive this information or you registered after the messages were sent, contact our office at 443-642-3600 to find out your teacher assignment. "Take a peek" will take place in zoom and you can access with a computer or a smartphone. |
